Welcome Mary and Jack!...
Barb and Stan are taking Barb's mom shopping in Palmdale...
but stopped by to see us off!...
Stan's back....
Who's that masked man...Barry?... ;)
We're already at Four Corners!...
...turning onto HWY58....
We've arrived at the infamous Bagdad Cafe...
built in the 1950s...on Route 66....
The porch pooch wasn't so sure of Marc...
but held his ground....
Living history...yet a working restaurant...earning an honest living....
Debbie_9 and Randy...
feeling the love of riding with friends...
and we feel theirs....
Our waiter is likely the owner...
and wasn't flustered by 20 bikers showing up...unannounced.
He jumped in to help the cook....
Jutebox....
The Bagdad Cafe's office...in the dinning area!...
There were only five well-worn menus to share!...
Food was really pretty darn good...
if slow in coming....
Mary and Jack.... <3<3...
Vikki takes possession of her and Dwight's milkshakes!...
Pooch #2...pretty darn cute....
Here's a short version of Bagdad Cafe history....
Vikki = Reverse #1
Malia = Reverse #2
Debbie_9 = Reverse #3
Check out the history of Dagget, CA...
and discover the right-up on this old house
Our next destination: Railroad and Route 66 Museum in Barstow....

Route 66..."The Mother Road"...since 1926....
Canvas waterbags hung from the front bumper of your car....
Riding west from Barstow on Route 66...toward Silver Lakes...
where Judy and Don wanted to see the homes on the lake and canals....

That's it folks!
One fun and Historic Route 66 ride.
Thanks Josh for suggesting it...and we're
sorry you and Deb missed it with a bad shoulder!

Thanks Tom for stepping up
and leading this Historic ride! ;)
